WHY CASHMERE IS BETTER THAN USUAL WOOL?
Cashmere and wool are made from different animal species. Wool is a hair-covering of sheep that is shaved. Cashmere is a down hair that is manually combed only from goats that live in the special climate of Mongolia and the Inner Mongolia in China. That is why the price is so high.
Why is cashmere better than usual wool?
Warmth. The cashmere's heat control capacity is eightfold higher than wool’s. So it will be warmer in cool weather.
Softness. The small diameter of cashmere fibers provides a very thin texture, and it makes cashmere the softest yarn of all types.
It isn’t itchy. Due to the small diameter of the fibers, they are thicker than wool. Therefore cashmere doesn’t scratch the skin and isn’t itchy. As a result, it is nice to touch, and wearing cashmere clothes gives a pleasurable sensation.
Shape’s resiliency. A high-quality cashmere is pre-shrunk if it is washed properly. And it keeps its shape much longer than wool.
Wearing qualities. With proper care, cashmere clothes can be in use even for 10 years. That is why you will need to hew closely to washing and storing guidelines.
