WHAT IS A MERINO WOOL?

WHAT IS A MERINO WOOL?

Merino wool is a natural fiber grown by merino sheep. Merino wool fibers are softer, thinner, and more sensitive than many other fabrics. Merino wool maintains a stable body temperature. When it's cold outside, the natural fibers’ curves hold back air, and it warms you up. And when it's warm outside, it quickly wicks sweat and helps to keep coolness and dryness. It makes merino wool clothes a perfect option for active pastime.

Merino wool features:

Softness. Merino wool is surprisingly soft due to its sheerness. The thin merino wool fiber is rather flexible. There is no need for using fabric softener for high-quality merino wool. It is three-fold softer than natural silk.

Resilience
. Merino wool clothing allows the body to move freely due to its molecular structure. The fiber can elongate from 25 to 30% of its natural length. It will regain its original shape after stretching up to 50% of its length while wet! Merino wool is fivefold more resilient than cotton.

Warmth and coolness
. Tiny scales on the fiber's surface and its curves create voids that keep you warm when it's cold outside and cool you off when it's hot outside.

Hypoallergenic
. Merino wool clothes are perfect for fashionistas with sensitive skin. It is hypoallergic and isn’t itchy.

A short guide on how to the care for merino wool:

It should be washed at low temperature in a delicate mode or be hand washed.

Don’t dry it in a washing machine.

It shouldn't be spin-dried.

Don’t use bleachers or fabric softeners.

It should be ironed with a slightly heated iron because you can get imprints.

Thanks to its unique features, merino wool clothing is a great choice both for outdoor activities and for work or chilly evening walks.
